Minister Rajnath: Demonetization has strengthened the economy

Lucknow, Nov 19: The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Saturday that allegation of opposite parties on demonetization were baseless and it has strengthened the economy of the country.

While addressing the party workers here in a school Mr.Singh said that opposite parties were misleading public about the economy but central government’s initiative like demonetization and Goods and Service Tax have strengthened the country's economy.

Mr. Singh said that BJP works for good governance and development and it is first preference of public in civic elections.

He said that to win the local body elections all workers should put collective efforts.

About the development projects, Mr. Singh said: "Lucknow will get Rs 10,000 crore for development in five years and seven over bridges in six months."

He said that former BJP mayors have developed the city.
