Melinda Gates Joins metoo campaign: I too faced sexual harassment

Washington Nov 18: A campaign undertaken by women to reveal the horrific incidents of sexual assaults has received a huge response as many celebrities and personalities have opened up about the sexual assaults they have faced.

Recently Melinda Gates, co-founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has said that "I too have had personal experience of sexual harassment, and I worked in the tech industry. Lot of whats coming out in the West and in the United States is from the different industry, but one of them has been from the tech industry".

She has added that "If you look at the data from United States on equal opportunity, 85% of the women have faced sexual harassment and my case isn’t any different than anybody else".

Gates has made the above remarks as she has opened up about #metoo campaign, that was launched last month and many women have voiced their opinion and shared the horrific incidents about the sexual harassment they face every day.

Currently, the Gates couple have arrived in India and they have tied up with various governments to fund for improvement of sanitation and health in the country.
