Telangana DGP launches COE for Cyber security and forensics

Hyderabad, Nov 18: The Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) M Mahender Reddy has inaugurated "Centre of Excellence (COE) for Cyber Security and Forensics" here on Saturday.

He has expressed that state police is the leading police force in the country in the usage of technology for policing.

Addressing after inaugurating 'Centre of Excellence (COE) for Cyber Security and Forensics', a newly established lab in the training campus with State-of-the-art technology here, Mr. Reddy stressed the importance of Information Technology and Communications in Prevention of Crime.



Telangana Police consists of about one lakh strong personnel including Home Guards, he said and asked the trainees and staff to update themselves with the latest technological developments which are playing a major role in crime control and detection.

Earlier, the DGP visited City Learning Centre at Begumpet where 310 stipendiary Trainee Cadet PC Communications are undergoing nine months basic induction training and interacted with them.
