PM Modi masters twitter because of "Political irony and sarcasm"

Washington Nov 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a huge number of twitter followers and he is a master of using social media. An American research has studied how he has refashioned himself as a great leader on Twitter.

The study published in the International Journal of Communication has indicated that PM Modi would tweet in following categories such as Cricket, Rahul Gandhi (opposition leader), entertainment, sarcasm, corruption, development, foreign affairs, Hinduism, and science and technology.

However, The study found out that He has mastered the art by using "use of political irony and sarcasm to corner the opposition ".

The study indicated that "sarcastic tweets were closely concentrated on the election and campaigning cycles."

Currently, Modi has the second largest following on Twitter among world leaders with 36 million followers, with Donald Trump topping the chart at 42.8 million followers. Rahul Gandhi's official twitter handle has 4.36 million followers.

However, the study showed that PM has stopped tweeting such sarcasm tweets after he became PM and mostly tweeted about development.
