Zimbabwe in Military Grip-Mugabe under House Arrest

Zimbabwe has gone into hands of the military.Robert Mugabe who ruled this African country as president is under house arrest now.It seems his ruthless rule in the country gave scope and courage for the military to take power into their hands.From the time of liberation up to his house arrest, he was the only leader in the country who has enough power. The Military didn't declare the future course of action after his house arrest.

Vice president of the country Emmerson Mnangagwa was removed from his post recently by Mugabe because he was wanted his wife grace to take up the position and it has changed the political atmosphere.The military has announced that it would take over the administration one week ago and many people have objected the removal of vice president as he had a good reputation in the public.



Mugabe hails from a poor family and he rose to power and he ruled the country since it got independence in 1980 and he criticised the colonial rule of Britishers.He has degrees in law, economics, and administration. He has also worked for African national unity and non- alignment movement.

However, critics have compared him to Hitler and he was not ashamed and he has established Zimbabwe African National Union was started by him long back.Some countries still treat him as a person who doesn't value human rights and has destroyed the economy of the country.

currently, the outcome of military action had no effect on the public and they are confined to their daily activities and they hope that situation becomes normal in coming days.
