TRS leader found dead suspiciously

Hyderabad, Nov 16: In a dreadful incident, TRS leader was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Lingaiah Nagar in the wee hours of Thursday.

The information reported that the deceased identified as V Srinivasa Rao, a resident of Sanathnagar and a local TRS leader.

According to the police, morning walkers had informed the police about the body of a man lying between a few boulders near a bus shelter.

Soon a police team, along with the CLUES and a dog squad, reached the spot.



A senior official said a few liquor bottles were found near the body, which had injuries on the head. It is suspected that an altercation or drunken brawl could have led to the killing.

"The injuries on the victim's head indicated that the suspects killed him using boulders, the official said.

A case has been registered and the body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital morgue for autopsy. Investigation is on.
