MP Kavitha inaugurates free food centre at Nizamabad Govt Hospital

Nizamabad, Nov 13: Nizamabad MP Kavitha has inaugurated a free food distribution center at Nizamabad Government General Hospital (GGH) for patients and their attendants, the center would remain open 365 days.

Every day thousands of patients come to GGH for treatment from Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Adilabad, Nirmal, Nanded and surrounding areas. Though food is provided to patients, their attendants and other outpatients face problems. Attendants spend hundred rupees on food every time and they spend time going to hotels for food, it is an expensive and laborious task for the attendants.

Keeping in mind the problems faced by patients and the attendants Kavitha launched the free meal distribution centre at GGH to provide hygienic and healthy food to patients and their attendants.

Every day nearly 600 to 900 patients join the hospital and the centre would provide food to them. Kavitha started the centre by bearing all expenditure.

Kavitha visited the centre along with Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Mission Bhagiratha Vice-Chairman V Prashanth Reddy, Nizamabad Urban MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta and other leaders, and distributed food to the patients and their attendants. The Ministers had food along with the patients.

MP Kavitha said the meal centre would be beneficial for poor patients.
