Telugu Compulsory for Intermediate

Hyderabad, November 11: All Private and Public educational institutions have to make Telugu as a compulsory subject from classes I to XII. Acharya SV Satyanarayana chairman of the sub-committee has declared the above rule on Friday.

The sub-committee meeting was convened on Friday at the Intermediate -Board office. Chairman Satyanarayana, convenor Ashok, chairperson of the official language committee, Devulapalli Prabhakar, SCERT activist Seshumari and others participated.

Earlier, Telangana CM has directed the Sahitya Academy to prepare a syllabus for the Telugu subject to be taught to students of primary, secondary and higher and intermediate classes. The syllabus fixed by the Sahitya Academy will be taught in all the educational institutions, the release said.

# The Students those who have chosen Telugu as Secondary language should have to take Urdu for 50 marks and Telugu for 50 marks in Intermediate.

Those who didn't study the Telugu language up to 10th class they should have to learn Telugu along with their mother tongue. In this regard, Telugu textbook is designed to be simple manner.

CBSE, ICSE and other schools have to implement the curriculum of schools should be implemented as the Telugu language in first, second and tertiary languages. Otherwise, the Subcommittee has decided to cancel the certificate issued by the state government (NOC).

However, It is important to discuss what to do in the intermediate-education of other boards. Chairman of the Sub-Divisional Committee, Satyanarayana said.
