Black Day for opposition-Bright day for rulers-Mixed day for Public

Today is a day of very significance for India due to the courageous decision was taken by pm Modi on Nov 8 last year. The high denomination notes of Rs 1000 and rs 500 lost their worth and brought all the people in the country on the roads forming queues in front of banks and post offices. Modi and his ministers claimed the action will streamline the monetary position of the country and put an end to black money thereafter.

It is one year and there are claims and counter-claims regarding the uses or benefits. Mainly the BJP leaders and their statements are explaining the multifacial benefits of this demonetization programme. All the other parties not connected with NDA are seriously criticising the effort as futile, simply a burden to the public. Even the financial experts, economists are skeptical about particular advantage due to this episode.

The Way Modi government went on harping digital transactions, electronic apps and so on here, in particular, hollow too much extent. Only the villagers or less educated felt sour magic work from PM will secure them lakhs of rupees into their bank accounts as an authorized gift. It has to be noted previously in the name of Jandhan accounts, zero balance and Rupay cards have its own propaganda and that mesmerized the poor of the country. It all gave the tremendous exercise for bank staff, certain schemes could have helped a small number of poor and needy but that is nothing to do directly into the demonetization.

Anyway, the expectations of ruling party went awry and they want to somehow meet the disappointment with arguments. Former RBI governor Raghu Ram Rajan, financial expert ex-PM Manmohan Singh, Chidambaram a never-ending list only expressed futility of this effort. More money could have entered the banks this giving elbow space for banks to lend more. It did not put an end to black money as claimed by Jaitley the finance minister. When the BJP leader Yashwant Sinha criticised recently, his own BJP party the gravity of the outcome came to open discussion. The pat from world bank or some other organizations is not of much solace for people.

AS if it is not enough the not so perfect GST widens the confusion. To taste the fruits of this attempt is nothing but half-baked pudding and so a black day is maintained by Congress, left parties, DMK, TMC, and others. The Govt claims big, mixing other programmes and claiming all is well. The troubles undergone by the public are still in memory.
