TS Govt to setup sub-committees for World Telugu Conference

Hyderabad, Nov 7: The Telangana Chief Secretary SP Singh has decided on Monday to constitute sub-committees to oversee the arrangements for the World Telugu Conference.

At a review meeting in the Secretariat, Singh enquired about the arrangements that were being made for the six venues, dining facilities, decorations, transport and barricading. The sub-committees would deliberate on various issues and they would be working in tandem with the maintenance committee.

The Officials of the State Education Department asked the committee members to take steps to ensure complete participation of various schools, junior and degree colleges and professors at the World Telugu Conference.

During the event, there would be special desks at the airport and railway stations for foreigners.

Government Advisor Dr. KV Ramana Chari said the core committee members of the conference said they were invited to visit Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai on November 4. The members then invited well-known authors and poets residing in those cities to the conference.
