NTPC employees to raise Rs 6 crore for victims of explosion

Employees of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) will donate a day’s salary to raise an ex-gratia of Rs 6 crore which will be given to the victims of Unchahar power plant explosion. The corporation announced that nearly 23,000 employees will forgo their day’s wage for the humanitarian cause.



The NTPC also announced that the medical expenses of the injured were borne by the company. NTPC said that its workers were working round the clock to provide relief to the bereaved families, and those who are undergoing treatment.And an officer has been stationed in Delhi to take care of the need of the patients admitted in hospitals.

Officers have also been assigned to Unchahar and Lucknow for further assistance. 39 patients are undergoing treatment in outstation hospitals– 22 in Delhi and 17 in Lucknow.
