Hyderabad Police to launch more drunken drive checks to curb accidents

Hyderabad, Nov 5: The Hyderabad Police have conducted a drunken drive check in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills areas of Hyderabad on Saturday following which 64 people were identified as drunk.

Around 28 cars and 33 two-wheelers were caught by the police who stated that their license will be canceled if they are drunk driving again.

Four women were caught in the drunken drive check including an Army Major's wife who refused to co-operate with the police in conducting breathe analyzer test initially.Later, police tested her and filed a case against her.

Police are planning to increase these checks in order to curb road accidents.
