Relegion,Caste exploitation - vote bank politics

As long as one believes in some power guiding, him or her, one is conditioned by birth devoted to some god or equivalent representation of the god religion would be present. Although releigion itself is not a cause for ills but peoples misinterpretation and use of holy
scriptures for spreading there personal agenda enhances the problem of hate speech and its consequences.

In India Caste System was developed to transmit the skills and Knowledge to the future generations so that it would become the source of employment but it was exploited by some people and this led
to further division of castes. The ill effects of such exploitation are still visible in the society such as not allowing intercaste marriages, restriction of entry of lower caste into temples and emergence of reservations.

The rise of political parties based on relegion and castes has often led to a formation of coalition governmnts and this has led to policy paralysis .Currently, many political parties try to polarise the voters based on relegion and castes.

However the country has seen mnay social reforms which led to the abolition of certain ills present in relegions and castes such as sati. Later the economic reforms were undertaken 25 years have further improved the economic conditions of many people and this brought social transformation.

However some political parties misrepresent facts and use sporadic incidents of violence and politicise them to garner votes and statements of hate gets overblown because of elections and the development takes a sidetrack.

Its hightime that people vote based on development keeping aside the relegion and caste so that a transformation in politics takes place.
