Telangana New Collectorates will be completed by October 2018: R&B Minister

Hyderabad, Nov 4: The Telangana Minister for Roads and buildings Tummala Nageshwar Rao has stated that the construction of integrated collectorate complexes with helipads in the 26 district headquarters will be completed by October.

While replying to members in the Assembly during Question Hour, he said the government had sanctioned Rs 843 crore for construction of these complexes in the budget of 2016-17.

Minister Thummala said the foundation stones for 18 complexes were laid on October 11 and 12 and the work on these have already commenced. The sites for the remaining eight complexes would be finalized by the third week of this month, he said and added that each complex would house over 40 departments.

"The district administration will come under one roof with new complexes. It would be easier for people to avail various government services from a single location.", he added.
