Police donated his kidneys after his death

Hyderabad, Nov 4: In a ghastly incident, A 57-year-old Police who sustained critical injuries in a hit-and-run accident in Kushaiguda three days ago, passed away while undergoing treatment on Thursday.

The deceased was N. Lakshman was working with the Traffic Wing of the Cyberabad Commissionerate.

The police are analyzing CCTV footage to identify the car that hit Lakshman's bike.

Lakshman was on his way home after work on Wednesday when his bike was hit from behind by a speeding car in the Old Kapra area. Upon impact, he and the bike were flung into the air and landed at a distance.

A passer-by who happened to witness the accident called for an ambulance and Lakshman was shifted to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, the car that caused the accident sped away.

The police said that Lakshman was initially taken a private hospital and later shifted to KIMS Hospital where he succumbed while undergoing treatment.

The Colleagues remembered him as an ideal policeman. Both his kidneys were donated after his death.
