PM Modi slams congress for raising questions on World bank report

New Delhi, Nov 04: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today slammed the opposition Congress for not recognizing the increase in India's ranking in Ease of Doing business by the World Bank.

Speaking at an event organized PM has said that " those who had worked with the World Bank previously too were raising questioning India's ranking. "This is not just an ease of business ranking.It is also an ease of living life."

PM has also highlighted the various reforms taken in past 3 years and said that "India could have improved much earlier when the decisions would have been taken under previous government". He has also added that "India has not improved its ranking from 2004 to 2014 and everybody knows which government was ruling the center".

He has thanked the World Bank for helping the states in taking reforms so that India becomes and investment-friendly destination. Finally, PM has hoped that "GST council in its next meeting would address some of the issues faced by traders and other businessman and would take significant steps in this regard".
