Kedarnath starring Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh release postponed

Kedarnath starring Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput was expected to release in mid 2018 but its release date has been postponed. Abhishek Kapoor's directorial venture, which was supposed to hit the screens in June 2018 , has reportedly been postponed to 2018.

Kedarnath is a love story set against the backdrop of pilgrimage, and the devastating floods that hit Uttarakhand in 2013 form an important part in the film. And for that, Kapoor is planning to recreate the set in Mumbai. And this has pushed the release of the film.

According to sources "The makers felt that the sequence deserves a grander canvas. So, they have decided to recreate the town of Kedarnath in Mumbai. The set will be erected by February next year. Abhishek intends to wrap up the sequence by June. This has, in turn, pushed the release."

A VFX team from Los Angeles has been roped in for creating floods effect "Gallons of water will be used to create the flood effect. The sequence will be high on VFX," added the source.

Producer Prernaa Arora confirmed the news, "It's going to be a challenging shoot. I completely believe in Gattu's (Kapoor) vision."
