Uttarkhand govt open for wider probe in corruption

Urban development minister Madan Kaushik said on Wednesday that the government of Uttarkhand is ready for a wider probe if required in the case of Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) supervisor’s alleged involvement in corruption.

Chief Minister TS Rawat has ordered a vigilance enquiry on Tuesday after receiving complaint against the supervisor for involvement in corruption for clearing illegal constructions.

“We will take appropriate action if we receive any corruption complaint, be it against any staff member or official, after getting it (complaint) duly verified,” said Kaushik.
