NGOs fill the gap of the government

Where government cannot on its own look after the welfare of its citizens there the Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) try to fill the gap. In such activities, government exempts income tax exemption for donations. Though so many NGOs are striving hard with selfless service to poor and helpless.

Some unscrupulous people also try to take advantage in this garb. Recently government had to form strict guidelines to restrain misuse of foreign donations. If we take by around effects of NGOs their service is colossal.

We know recently the rich Bill gates started some charity foundation sparing billions of dollars to eradicate diseases like AIDS. Even Mark Zuckerberg came forward to help the needy around the world. For Decades there are some NGOs like Oxfam, Birla Foundation in India and so many striving to help people. The efforts of Satya Sai Seva Organisation spread over so many countries has given drinking water facility for Anathapur District in AP.

So many stalwarts of Philosophical fields are helping in the educational sector. So many NGOs countrywide are offering free legal aid to the needy. Destitute Women, Orphans, aged and lovely are taken care by these NGOs.

The activities which cannot be undertaken by the government by employing vast number are carried out by NGOs with the aid flowing from philanthropists and foreign charity in situations. The fact that these are assisted society in a big way is accepted by the government.

The real problem comes when certain religious NGOs in that name carry subversive activities and get safety shield misuse money and human resources. It is bound to the duty of authorities to curb such and help the real ones with human welfare in mind. We have to keep an eye on those selfish elements who selfishly take charities for a ride.
