Gujarat election a Referundum for GST

Gandhinagar Oct 27: The Election schedule for Gujarat has been announced.Opinion polls conducted by various agencies have predicted that BJp would win the state easily.They have also predicted that ruling party would win 118-134 seats in the Gujarat out of 182 assembly seats which are more than seats obtained in 2012 elections.

The survey also predicted that Congress would get fewer seats compared to 61 seats it secured five years ago.Currently, these surveys may not reflect the entire truth because many survey and opinion polls predicted that Samajwadi party and Congress party would win the Uttar Pradesh election in 2017 but BJP has won with a massive victory.

However the poll results are favourably for the ruling party, but the top leaders of the party are in a bit of worry because it became a fire test for Modi government as it the second state that would be going for polls after new goods and Services tax was introduced.Experts feel that the victory in PM home state would ensure that his popularity remains intact and people support for GST too, just like UP election became a referendum to demonitisation.



Meanwhile, the Congress is trying to ride the anti-Incumbency wave, stoke the unease among the traders and business people who were affected due to GST and demonitisation and consolidate BC and
dalit votes by attracting OBC leaders and Dalit leaders into the party.

Recently the Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi has also changed his narrative and has also increased his social media presence by using bots but the fear of defeat is clearly visible in top leaders and they are taking innovative steps so that They retain the power for the 6th time.

Finally the Poll this year has attracted an unprecedented attraction due to various reasons.Lets wait for final results.
