Uttarakhand,Himachal Pradesh reduce VAT on petrol,diesel

Uttarakhand OCT 11: In a bid to offer relief for the customer the State governments have started reducing VAT and cess on petrol and diesel.Uttarakhand Government has cut the Value Added Tax and cess levied on petrol and diesel have been reduced by 2 % each.

Earlier today Himachal Pradesh government has also reduced the tax on fuel by 1 %. The reduction in tax rates comes after Finance minister has written a letter to all states to cut tax rates on fuel so that petrol and diesel become cheaper.



Recently the central government has reduced the exercise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 2. per liter.
