Ganga cleaning process: Namami Gange

Union minister of state for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Satyapal Singh said to all officials that optimal usage of latest Geo-spatial technologies should be enforced to rejuvenate the river.

The officials of National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) have been asked to complete the process of cleaning within the given time. They were also asked by Singh to comeup with water monitering technique and work in the direction of developing a water testing kit that could be distributed to people.

He said that as many people as possible must get involved in the cleaning process and recommended usage of geo-spatial and crowd-sourcing technologies like Bhuvan Ganga app.

“Technology can play the role of a bridge between the government and the people. We should encourage people who are ready to become part of clean Ganga movement and can give incentives to the ones who are doing exemplary work in this field,” he said.
