Modi and Amit shah intervened to solve crisis of BHU

After the police lathi charge and security guard attack on students, BHU has been widely criticised by many. Several students, mostly women, and cops were wounded in the incident.

The chief proctor of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) resigned on Tuesday, after the prime minister’s office (PMO) intervened to defuse the crisis in the institute.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah spoke to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on this matter.

The PMO called higher education secretary KK Sharma on Tuesday to discuss the situation. HRD ministry was also asked to look into the matter.
