Union cabinet Approves Funds for improving Internal security

New Delhi Sept 27: Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken some crucial decisions.

The Union cabinet has approved a fund of Rs 25,060 Crore for the police modernization and improving law and order situation in the country for 2017-2020. 80 % of the fund 18,636 crores would be funded by the central government and the remaining 20 % would be borne by the states.

The funds would be utilized for internal security, law and order, women safety, border weapons procurement, logistics support, mobility of police sources, hiring of police vehicles, upgradation of police wireless, national satellite network, and e-prison project under CCTNS.

Rs 10,000 crore would be spent in Jammu Kashmir, Northeast and Left-wing Extremists affected states.

Finally, Rajnath Singh Home Minister has said that the funds would improve the security of the country.
