Government affidavit to Supreme Court explaining deport order of Rohingya refugees

A 16-page affidavit has been submitted by the government explaining why it ordered deportation of Rohingya refugees. Government said it feared violence against Buddhists living in India by Rohingyas.

Government also said Rohingya refugees pose a big security threat as many of them have links with terror organisations and Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence.



Rohingyas have also allegedly been linked to militant background with Jammu, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mewat as their active centres.

Rohingyas refugees will deprive the Indian citizens of their legitimate share in the employment sector, subsidized housing, medical and educational facilities was also one of the reason mentioned.
