18 AIADMK  MLAs backing Dinakaran disqualified by TN Assembly

Chennai, September 18: A new twist took place in Tamil Nadu Politics.Tamil Nadu state Assembly has disqualified 18 AIADMK MLA who supported TTV Dinakaran who was recently sacked from the party.

The state Assembly speaker P. Dhanapal had made this decision and a statement issued said that "the MLAs have been disqualified with effect from today, under the 1986 Tamil Nadu Assembly Members Party Defection Law."

Earlier the Dinakaran Faction has moved the Madras High Court on plea over a floor test in the Tamil Nadu assembly and the court has ordered the Assembly not top conduct the floor test till September 20.

The AIADMK, in its recent general council meeting, had passed a resolution, according to which jailed party general secretary V.K. Sasikala stood expelled from the party and the post of the temporary general secretary forfeited.



The resolution further said that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister,
E. Palanisamy and his deputy, O. Panneerselvam, shall retrieve the party and its symbol.Other terms of the resolution state that all announcements by T.T.V. Dinakaran stand cancelled.

Earlier the Opposition Party DMK leader MK Stalin has demanded that a floor test must be conducted because the government is in majority because 19 of its MLA withdrew support.

TTV Dinakaran has said that the speaker's order is a conspiracy planned by the CM, Deputy CM, and Tamil Nadu Governor to protect the government .
