Murder trial on Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh; death or life imprisonment

After getting sentence of 20 years in prison, probe and hearings of murder cases on Ram Rahim Singh has been started. He is charged for ordering the assassination of former Dera Sacha Sauda manager Ranjit Singh and Sirsa-based journalist Ram Chander Chhattrapati, who were responsible for making public an anonymous letter that revealed information about Ram Rahim's rapes.If this time he gets convicted under these charges he may be hanged or sentenced for life imprisonment.



According to the prosecution, Ram Rahim suspected that Ranjit Singh, was responsible for leaking the letter, whereas Chhatrapati openly published the letter in his newspaper, due to which CBI probe was started. Chhatrapati was killed a month after the letter was published.
