Priyanka apologises after being trolled on Sikkim Comments

Toronto (Canada), Sept 14: Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra has today apologized for her bizarre and in sensitive comments on Sikkim and North East India. She has made an apology after she was trolled on Social media for her remarks.

Earlier the Actress during an interview at Toronto International Film has said that "Pahuna is a Sikkimese film. Sikkim is a small state in the Northeastern India which never had a film industry or anyone who made films from there. And this is the first film ever that’s come out of that region because it's very troubled with insurgency and troubling situations."

Later many people have criticized her for Calling North east and Sikkim "troubled with insurgency and troubling situations". they have said that "Shame on you, Priyanka Chopra".



Another tweet was "Priyanka Chopra, you called Sikkim an insurgency affected the state. Idiot. God doesn't give everything to everybody. Find better uses for your loud mouth".

Many others have said that "Get your facts right before speaking out. Sikkim is one of the most beautiful states of our country".

Sikkim Tourism minister Ugen Gyatso has said that "he has received a written and verbal apology from Priyanka's production firm Purple Pebble Pictures on the actress' behalf". "Her mother (Madhu Chopra) spoke to me over the phone and has apologized for the comment".
