Bullet train a boon for Railways?

Ahmedabad Sept 14: Indian dreams of becoming a Developed nation would become a step closer. Indian PM Narendra Modi and Japanese PM Shinzo Abe today have laid the Foundation stone for the country's Most Prestigious Project 'Bullet Train' in India.

Currently, India doesn't have Bullet train and the completion of the project would raise the countrys Infrastructure to a global standard.

The Government feels that the Construction of the bullet train would help the country to plan more ambitious projects in future and it would create a huge ecosystem so that small and medium scale industries can be developed.



Former Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has initiated the project and held talks with Japanese counterpart in 2015.New railway minister has said that the Country would transfer the technology to the country so that India can develop the indigenous bullet trains in future so that the railways become an engine of Growth.

However, the Experts have hailed the governments Ambitious plan but said that the government must not forget to focus on common passenger services and improve the passenger facilities and increase more general coaches so that poor people who can travel safely.

They have also said that it would be challenging for the government to ensure that these trains are kept clean because many citizens lack civic sense and they spoil the trains .
