BJP President Laxman demands to celebrate Liberation Day

Hyderabad, Sept 12: The BJP state president K Laxman strongly alleged on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao over the state liberation day by stating on that the TRS government was not showing interest to celebrate the State Liberation Day due to pressure from the Majlis party.

Demanding the government to celebrate the State Liberation Day officially on September 17, BJP district party leaders and cadre blocked the roads leading to Collectorate on Monday. While addressing the gathering, Laxman questioned KCR's demand of conducting the Liberation Day officially during the separate statehood movement.



The BJP leader alleged that the police was also acting to favor of ruling party and filing false cases against opposition party leaders for raising voices against the government.

"The Centre is spending crores of rupees for the welfare people in the state. However, Telangana government is diverting the funds to other programs and claiming them as state funds," he said.

On the day, hundreds of BJP party activists reached the Collectorate in a rally from Clock Tower Centre and tried to enter into the Collectorate, However, police foiled their attempt and shifted them to police stations.
