People demand Safe Schools

Haryana Sept 10: Recently many drastic incidents with regards to students have emerged. Many students are being killed and murdered in schools in the India.Many reports have emerged that students below the age of 10 are mainly targeted.

One such incident that has evoked public outrage is the murder of a 7-year-old student of Ryan International school in Gurguram. Many parents have demanded a CBI probe in the case and demanded that strict action must be taken against school staff.

The police have arrested the conductor and filed a charge sheet in this case. The conductor has admitted that he has killed the student after sexual abuse on the student.

However many intellectuals have questioned the school managements responsibility and their role in protecting the children. A report says that 90 % of schools lack adequate safety measures such as no CCTV cameras, not adequate security personnel, no personal supervision
of teachers. Not enough salaries for security so they don't perform the duty well.

However, the school Managements have denied the reports and said that they are taking all the necessary steps for the security of the children. Finally public have demanded that the state government and center must intervene and make sure that schools are safe.
