CBI issues summons in fodder scam to Lalu Prasad Yadav

CBI sends summons to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son in connection with alleged pecuniary benefits for railway hotels .Apart from this a special CBI court in Ranchi asked Lalu to complete the proceedings in the fodder scam on Thursday . The hearing of the case will be on September 16. The hearing in a case pertaining to alleged siphoning of treasury funds to the tune of Rs 39 crores in Chaibasa district is going on.



The court has asked Lalu to put-up defence witnesses so that the case can be completed soon. Lalu was given time till September 16.Lalu has even appealed to Jharkhand High to get the judge changed in another fodder scam case which is about Deoghar treasury fraudulent withdrawal. But the court rejected his appeal.

Lalu has been travelling Ranchi and Patna due to this two fodder scam cases. His son Tejashwi Yadav was issued summon in the case of benefits made from awarding contracts to private parties for re-development of hotels owned by the Railway.
