Robbery of 55 lakh in United Bank of India, Devghar

Robbers looted the branch of United Bank of India located at Azad Chowk, Devgarh city in the broad day-light. In the bank premises, the robbers created havoc for hours and took away 55 lakh rupees.

The robbers beat up all the bank workers including the branch manager. They even beat all the 40 customers who were present in the bank and snatched away money and mobile phones from them. In addition to the robbery weapons, the robbers were carrying bombs with them.

According to eyewitnesses, they were seven to eight in number. Crooks also threatened to explode the bomb if anyone tried to make noise. After the incident, the dacoits left the four bombs in the bank premises. Later, the bomb disposal squad arrived and defused them.
