Arun Jaitley :Women defense minister a strong message

New Delhi Sept 3: Nirmala Sitaraman has been promoted as defense minister. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today has said that "He has enjoyed his stint in the Defence Ministry".

However, he said that " it was not possible for him to continue handling both Defence and Finance portfolios."

He has also congratulated his successor Nirmala Sitharaman for taking responsibility of Defense Ministry.

He has also said that "I have tried to do my best as defense minister and tried to complete the pending works".

Finally, he has said that by appointing Women as Defense minister is a strong message to the world.
