Policeman and BSF officer died in an attack by militant and pakistani troop respectively.

A policeman martyred and three other officers injured in a ambush on police vehicle at pantha chowk in Srinagar-jammu area by militants.

Militants opened fire on police van using automatic weapons near Srinagar on Friday evening(1st September 2017). Four policemen were injured in the attack, and were hospitalized. One of them died in hospital while undergoing treatment.

The police spokesman said the militants ran away from the spot after ambush. The martyred cop was Head Constable Kishan Lal. Search operations were conducted in the area to track militants. Lashkar-e-Toiba, took responsibility of the attack.

In another incident BSF officer was killed in firing attack by Pakistani troops in Krishna ghati in poonch district .“The Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing on BSF posts in Krishna Ghati sector along LoC in Poonch at about 5.45 pm,” a BSF spokesman in Jammu said.

ASI Kamaljit Singh got injured by the bullet fired by Pakistani troops. “He was provided first aid and evacuated from the post to a military hospital. However, he succumbed while being shifted to the hospital,” the spokesman said.
