Srihari Kota Sept 1: A mission was unsuccessful.
ISRO mission to enhance the NavIC Indian GPS system by launching IRNSS 1 H has failed. The satellite launch of PSLV C-39 took place yesterday. The rocket took off successfully but the satellite couldn't be placed in the orbit because of technical failures.

Speaking at the event ISRO chairman Kiran Kumar said, "the mission was unsuccessful. All stages of the mission performed well. But there was a mishap. The satellite is still in the fourth stage. The heat shield did not separate, as a result, the satellite is enclosed in the body of the fourth stage. So, the mission is unsuccessful. We have to check heat shield separation command and whatever happened subsequently and it will be analyzed."

Indian Space Research Organisation has indigenously developed Indian navigation system which would be helpful for South Asian people.
