Telangana youth conquers Mount Kilimanjarao

Medak Telangana Aug 17: A student has created a record.
Bheemari Baswaraj, a mountaineer of P Mandapur village of Chinna Shankarampet Mandal in Medak district, has successfully climbed the Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest peak on the African continent.

Upon conquering the mountain, located in Moshi at 5,895 meters from sea level in Tanzania, Baswaraj has displayed Indian national flag, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's portrait and Telangana Rastra Samithi's flag on the highest peak.

In a chat with media from the top of Mt Kilimanjaro, Baswaraj has said that Telangana Rastra Samithi leaders like Deputy Speaker, M Padmadevendar Reddy, TRS, Mandal President, Paturi Raju and others have contributed funds to help him realize his dream.

Minister for Sports and Youth Services, T.Padma Rao has also promised to present Rs 3.5 for him. Inspired by the success of Malavath Poorna, the youngest girl ever to scale Mt Everest, Baswaraj, working as Physical Director until 2015 on out sourcing basis at a Social Welfare Residential School, Ramyampet, had quit the job and underwent training at Himalaya Institute of Mountaineering, run by Indian Army. Though he aimed to conquer Mt Everest, Baswaraj, who has been working as a photographer, had found it difficult to gather funds, when he chose to go on Kilimanjaro expedition.

Baswaraj was sole Telangana man in a nine member Indian team that has scaled Mt Kilimanjaro on Wednesday late night. He has thanked each and every person who has supported him to realize his dream.

However, the 28-year-old youth has announced that he has set his eyes on Mt Everest. The Mountaineer has said that he will go on Mt Everest expedition during the coming season in May 2018.The villagers of T.Mandapur and family members of Baswaraj have celebrated his success by distributing sweets.
