SC forms supervisory Body in 1984 Riots case

New Delhi Aug 16: Justice may be delivered soon.
The Supreme court Today has appointed a supervisory body to examine the Special Investigation Team SIT decision to close 199 cases related to 1984 anti- Sikh Riots.

The court has also ordered the body to examine the issue and submit a report within three months.The body formed consists two former judges of SC and it has the mandate to examine additional 42 riot related cases.

The apex court has fixed the date for next hearing on November 28.Earlier the Government has submitted all the documents related to 199 cases.

A SIT was formed to investigate the case after 2733 Sikh people were killed in Delhi after the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984. Let's hope that court delivers its justice soon.
