Mobile app of NDL wins global award

New Delhi, August 08: Android mobile application of the National Digital Library of India (NDL India) has been declared the winner of mBillionth South Asia Award 2017 in Learning and Education Category, an IIT KGP statement said today.

A few days ago, IIT Kharagpur adopted this app and the Union Human Resources Development Ministry has approved. The main goal of this digital library is to provide education and teaching in Indian languages for remote areas in the country.



The teachings in this app are not limited to books and papers but also Classroom lectures, audit lessons, animations, statistics, information, assignments, etc. are designed to be monolingual.

NDL India has now over 1 crore content in more than 200 languages and available as web app , as a mobile app on android and on iOS (Apple) for free.
