Teacher Stole Saree for his wife

Chattisgarh, August 08: According to the sources have made a statement that in an incident, for the love of his wife, a 32-year-old man stole designer sarees for his wife's beauty pageant Sawan Sundari. Srikant Gupta, a government teacher at Sarkanda, wanted his wife to look best at the contest. But as he couldn't afford to buy expensive designer sarees, he chose to steal them.

Meanwhile, inspector Nasar Siddiqui said, "He did not want his wife to feel inferior among other women of the community. He stole the sarees and gifted them to her." Further, after a complaint was lodged by the shop owners, the police started examining the CCTV footage.

However, the theft came to fore after his wife Pramila is 26 years old had walked the ramp donning the saree which grabbed one the judge's attention. The judge noticed that it was a stolen saree who then informed the police. Srikantha along with his wife and cousin were arrested.
