Modi plans Union Cabinet expansion

New Delhi, Aug 07: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused on the Union Cabinet expansion in the aftermath of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential elections.

In view of the 189 Lok Sabha seats in the southern and eastern states, this time there is a possibility of expansion and reorganization.

The sources said that there will be an expansion this time with the clear vision of the 2019 general election.

There are few minister posts were vacant because the Minister of Defense, Manohar Parrikar to be sent to Goa as Chief Minister, Urban Development and Housing & Poverty Alleviation Minister M Venkiah Naidu as Vice President, Minister of Environment, Anil Madhav has died.

PM Modi and party president Amit Shah are expected to strengthen the party in West Bengal, Odisha, and North-East. Therefore, these states have a chance to get a little more elaboration.

"There is a public have supported the party and we are now focused on the states that are not able to get enough seats, "said a party leader.

In this sense, Telangana (17 Lok Sabha seats), Odisha (21 seats), West Bengal (42), Tamil Nadu (39), Andhra Pradesh (25), Kerala (20) and seven northeastern states (25) are expected to be preferred.

By 2022, the Prime Minister created the path of confidence that the NDA will win in the 2019 elections.

The Prime Minister also said at the meeting of NDA MPs here on Saturday, The President and Vice President who has been elected from BJP will be in power till 2022.
