Children tied Rakhis to Trees

Lucknow, Aug 07: Here is a shocking news, the Children in Lucknow have tied Rakhi to trees and took a pledge to protect them and grow more trees here on Monday.

Many girls and boys came together and tied the ceremonial band to the trees.They were also accompanied by their parents.

In order to encourage tree plantation, these kids tied Rakhi that had written on it 'Ped lagao, Paryavaran bachao' (Plant trees, save the environment).

Also, school students in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district made a 100-feet long 'Rakhi' for the Indian soldiers.

Most of these soldiers are unable to come home during the festival of Rakhi which marks the bond between brothers and sisters.

The festival, Rakshabandhan, will be celebrated across India on August 7. It marks the bond of love between brothers and sisters.
