Police arrested five for possessing demonetized notes

Hyderabad, August 07: The police officials have been arrested five persons including a B.Tech student, for allegedly possessing old currency notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 denominations, here on Sunday.
"They were trying to exchange the demonetised notes into valid currency on the commission basis with agents," police said.
The suspects, V Sai Kumar Reddy (22) a resident of Church Colony in Uppal is pursuing B.Tech, T Sai (24) of Miyapur is a driver, T Prasad (35) who belongs to Guntur District is a realtor, B Nagendar (42) hailing from Jangaon District runs a grocery store and P Ram Babu (36) of Gaddiannaram is a realtor.
