Railways to offer Entertainment content

New Delhi, Aug 2: A good news for railway passengers. Indian Railways will soon introduce entertainment content in trains. Rajen Gohain Minister of State for Railways today has said that "the ministry has sought proposals from interested parties to provide onboard entertainment on 1,300 select trains".

Minister has also said that "under the content on demand policy, onboard entertainment through pre-loaded audio/video content on personal devices of passengers will be provided on select
trains such as Shatabdi, Rajdhani express trains ."

He has also said that the request for proposal (RPF) has already been issued on July 6. Minister has informed the Lok Sabha in a written reply.

He has also said that "once we accept the proposals passengers will be able to watch an array of popular films, serials, and sitcoms on their laptops, mobile phones and other devices at a price fixed which would decide later". Let's hope that new policy would soon be introduced so that passengers don't get bored during journeys.
