Govt introduced 4 bills

New Delhi, August 1: The Monsoon session of the parliament is going on smooth. The government has introduced the following bills in Lok Sabha yesterday.

* The Punjab Municipal Corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Amendment Bill, 2017

* The Central Goods and Services Tax (Extension to Jammu and Kashmir) Bill, 2017.

* The Integrated Goods and Services Tax (Extension to Jammu and Kashmir) Bill,2017.

* The Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Amendment Bill,2017.

The main aim of these bills are

# Punjab MCL bill aims to transfer the powers of the centre to levy entertainment taxes to the municipal corporation so that GST can be implemented smoothly.

# CGST AND IGST bills will ensure that Goods and Service Tax (GST) would be applicable to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

# Public premises eviction bill aims to evacuate the residences of government servants and others who are staying illegally after their tenure is completed in a time bound manner.
