Tax payers in Dilemma?

New Delhi July 30: A deadline may be extended.July 31 is the last date for filing Income tax return for the previous financial year.

Currently, many people have not filed returns and they have suggested extending the deadline because of the following problems

* Many people have not linked their Aadhaar and PAN (Permanent Account Number).

* People have complained that they cannot link both because names in the two documents do not match.

* Currently many individuals use their initials to obtain PAN, while the Aadhaar database carries their full name.

* NRI's have urged to review some regulations regarding the disclosure of foreign account details.

* Many senior citizens have not enrolled for Aadhar.

Let's hope that government extends the deadline for filing tax returns.
