Warangal city gets facelift under HRIDAY

Warangal July 29: A city would get a facelift soon.
The works to develop and protect Heritage sites in Warangal has got momentum following the efforts of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA).

The city was one among the 12 cities chosen under Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) cities. Officials say that the city would attract more tourists after the developmental works are completed. The status of the works completed are as follows.

* Toilets worth Rs 2 crore have already been completed at Hazrat Sayyad Shah Afzal Biyabani Dargah in Kazipet.

* Bund development works at Bhadrakali Tank have gathered momentum

* The developmental works of Padmakshamma Gutta (hillock) and Thousand Pillar Temple will be started soon because the tenders have already been issued.

* The development works of Fort Warangal will be done after KUDA enters a
memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

* Geo-Biodiversity cultural park will come up in the open space around the shore area of the Bhadrakali tank. The park will facilities such as

#Ecological reserves
#Walking track
#Cycling track
#Leisure area
#Seating area
#Lake view facility
#Toy-train.
