KTR launched Double bedroom scheme

Hyderabad, July 27: The Telangana Minister for IT and Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao has launched double bedroom housing scheme at Jiyaguda here on Wednesday and

He said Around 1 lakh houses being taken up under the scheme in the city, tendering process was completed for 68,000 units.

At Jiyaguda in Karwan constituency, 840 double rooms are coming up on a 8-acre site at an estimated cost of Rs.71.40 crores. Rao said the existing slaughter house in Jiyaguda would be replaced by a modern facility.

On the housing scheme, he said tenders for 32,000 houses would be completed by August end and appealed to the beneficiaries not to pay any bribe for the houses.



The government has been giving utmost importance to quality road building and restoration and for the purpose, Hyderabad Road Development Corporation was set up, the Minister said.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Md.Mahmood Ali said that welfare schemes were being implemented in the State with an amount of Rs 40,000 crore and added the government has sanctioned Rs 5,300 crore for Aasra pensions.
