Rajyasabha Proceedings Smooth,2 bills passed

New Delhi July 25: The Monsoon session of Parliament is going on.The Rajyasabha proceedings are going on Smoothly.

The Lower House Loksabha has not taken up any business yesterday and today because of the ruckus created by opposition parties for discussion on cow vigilantism and Dalit Atrocities.

The Upper House has discussed the above issue and the house has today discussed farmers distress. The following bills were passed yesterday

* The Admiralty (Jurisdiction and Settlement of Maritime Claims) Bill, 2017.

* Footwear Designing and Development Bill (FDDI) 2017.

Admiralty bill aims to repeal the old laws related to the settlement of maritime claims which were passed in British era and a modern law to make sure that these claims can be settled fastly.

FDDI bill aims to develop new skilling and training institutes in the countries which can create employment and also help the footwear industry.

Experts are surprised by the strategy adopted by the government to run the house smoothly where it lacks majority for passage of bills. Let's hope that Loksabha members take inspiration of upper house so that majority of members have a fruitful discussion and pass critical bills.
