Two infant boys drowned in a Pit

Telangana, Khammam, July 25: Here a tragic incident has occurred while two boys were drowned in a rainwater-filled pit at Raghavapuram in Chintakani Mandal on Monday evening.

While coming to details, The deceased identified as Charan(8) and Rohit(7) of Raghavapuram are are studying in the same school, a hamlet under Kodumuru gram panchayat.

The duo reportedly fell in the pit filled to the brim with rainwater while playing at an agricultural field in the village.

Their bodies were found floating in the six-foot deep trench in the evening.

The Sources said that the trench was dug up allegedly by the staff of the Rural Water Works Department to augment drinking water supply under the Mission Bhagiratha project in the village.

The Chintakani police have registered a case.and sent the bodies for post mortem.
